Crossroads Recovery
Crossroads Community Church is one church with many locations—connecting people with God across the country. Originally incorporated as 'Elkhart First Church of the Nazarene' in 1919 with 37 charter members who believed in living a life fully surrendered to God, the church has grown significantly, moving several times to better serve the community, and now gathers 2,500 people weekly at its Goshen, Mishawaka, and St. Pete campuses. As part of the global Church of the Nazarene in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition, Crossroads is a Christian, holiness, and missional people, proclaiming Jesus Christ as Lord, affirming historic creeds, and believing in one God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who calls us to a life of holiness through the empowering work of the Holy Spirit. The church's core mission is to connect people with God by inviting outsiders to changed lives, aiming to see 1,000 baptisms by 2025, and offering worship services, Christ-centered recovery groups utilizing the 12 steps and Beatitudes to overcome hurts, habits, and hangups like chemical dependency, depression, and abuse for all ages including youth through CR Students, as well as community events, a podcast, volunteering opportunities, and children's and preschool ministries to equip people to become more like Jesus through evangelism, compassion, and spiritual growth.
